Gate Padlock
A downloadable 3D asset
An ornate historical gate padlock with a captured key and open plate for period interiors, museums and adventure scenes.
Virtual Museums of Małopolska publishes this gate padlock from the Marcin Mikuła Locksmithing Museum in Świątniki Górne, inventory M-K/19. This prepared prop preserves the captured key, open plate, wear and irregularities as one static mesh.
A prepared prop, with the original scan character intact
The source is freely available. This download saves preparation time with reduced geometry, a packed editable Blender master, interchange exports, an independently imported Unity package, consistent file organization, provenance and practical installation notes. Captured wear and irregularities remain visible.

Installation
- Extract SKU16_GatePadlock_v1.0.zip and keep the folder structure together.
- Blender: open
GatePadlock.blend. Images are packed. Use Material Preview or Rendered mode. The editable master includes a studio camera and lights. - GLB: import
Models/GatePadlock.glbwith a glTF 2.0 importer. Materials are embedded; native Blender reimport was tested. - Unity: in a Built-in/Gamma project, choose Assets → Import Package → Custom Package and import
SKU16_GatePadlock.unitypackagewith all dependencies. OpenAssets/Refinery/SKU16/SKU16_Review.unityor dragAssets/Refinery/SKU16/SKU16.prefabinto your scene. Use a project copy for an existing project. - FBX: import
Models/GatePadlock.fbxand explicitly assign the supplied maps. Generic automatic FBX material fidelity is unverified. Prefer GLB for embedded interchange materials or the native package for ready-bound Unity materials.
If Unity renders pink, confirm the Built-in pipeline and that all package dependencies were imported. URP/HDRP materials are not included. Texture names and bindings are listed in TEXTURE-INVENTORY.json.
Scale and visible limitations
Explicit digital normalization: source scale multiplied by 0.00202778861085, so the largest source extent is 0.300 m. This is a practical reference size, not a claim of historical physical dimensions. Uniform proportions and source orientation are retained; resize to your project as needed.
Unity Standard omits the source double-sided state. The padlock, key and open plate form one static prop. No opening mechanism or separate movable key is supplied.
No reconstructed hidden geometry, collision setup, automatic LOD, articulation, object animation, audio or functional simulation is supplied. The preview rotates the prop for inspection. Physical reflectance, other software versions, URP/HDRP, Unreal, player builds, combined imports and runtime performance are unverified. For close-ups, inspect the gallery and turntable before buying.
Technical validation
Checked in Blender 5.2.2 LTS and Unity 6000.4.10f1 Built-in/Gamma on macOS Metal. Validation included six matched source/candidate views, native GLB/FBX geometry readbacks, packed-master reopen, separate clean-project Unity import, saved-scene/prefab reopen and three native Unity view comparisons. All 288 preview frames decoded, with nine visual samples. These are technical checks, not historical measurement or a runtime performance guarantee.
Commercial use and the free original
The original mesh and textures are CC0 1.0. Commercial use, modification and redistribution are already permitted. Payment covers the prepared files and documentation; it does not unlock commercial rights or restrict your existing CC0 freedoms. Included original preparation documentation/configuration may also be used, modified and distributed with commercial projects without an additional license fee. No exclusive rights, museum endorsement or trademark/patent grant is claimed.

Preparation code and documentation used AI assistance with operator review and native checks. The institutional mesh and texture maps are not generated imagery. The listing cover combines an AI-assisted decorative background with the actual model render and separately typeset text.
